Get Involved
Become a member. Support local theatre.
Membership is about more than taking part in a show.
It's about being part of a community that believes in the value of theatre, creativity and bringing people together.
By becoming a member of Brecon Little Theatre, you're helping us keep participation affordable,
create opportunities for young people and adults, and bring live theatre to our community.
You don't have to perform, volunteer or work on a production to become a member!
If you simply love what we do and want to help BLT thrive, you're just as welcome.
Membership fees
Adults (18+): £30 per year*
Young people (8–17): £20 per year*
Whether you're joining to support us, to have a voice in our future,
or because you've accepted a role in a production, we're delighted to welcome you to BLT!
Your membership. Your voice. Our future.
For adults aged 18 and over, membership means having a say in the future of BLT.
Adult members can vote at our Annual General Meeting, helping to shape the direction of the organisation.
Want to take part in a production?
Fancy being part of something special? We'd love to hear from you! Whether you'd like to perform on stage, play in the band, get creative, work behind the scenes or help out in other ways, there are lots of ways to get involved with BLT.
You don't need to be a member to express your interest or audition for a production, so you can explore the opportunities available before making a commitment. If you're offered a role in a production and decide to accept, we'll ask you to join BLT as a member. Whatever your experience or interests, there's a place for you here!
Whether you dream of stepping into the spotlight, love the creative process, enjoy working behind the scenes or simply want to be part of something special, there are lots of ways to get involved with Brecon Little Theatre.
We're a community theatre company based in Brecon, bringing people together through theatre, creativity and shared experiences. We welcome children, young people and adults aged 8 and over, from complete beginners to people with years of experience.
You don't need to be an experienced performer to belong here. Every production depends on a team of people with different interests, skills and ideas — and there's room for you to discover yours.
Any Questions?
*Our membership fee is £30 per year for adults aged 18 and over and £20 per year for young people aged 8–17. Your membership runs from the date you join until the end of the current BLT membership year, which runs from 1 February to 31 January.
Perform
Love performing? Ready to give it a go for the first time?
From large-scale musicals to plays and more adventurous theatrical experiences, our productions offer opportunities to develop your skills, build confidence and perform in front of an audience.
You don't need a list of previous credits to audition. We want to see what you can bring, not just what you've done before.
Backstage
Prefer to be behind the curtain, not in front of it?
Our productions rely on people who can help with lighting, sound, set construction, painting, props, costumes, backstage coordination and stage crew.
You don't need to know how everything works before you start. There's plenty to learn, and working alongside others is a great way to develop practical skills and discover new interests.
Create
Theatre is about much more than performing.
From large-scale musicals to plays and more adventurous theatrical experiences, our productions offer opportunities to develop your skills, build confidence and perform in front of an audience.
You don't need a list of previous credits to audition. We want to see what you can bring, not just what you've done before.
Volunteer
Not every role requires a background in theatre!
We also need people to help our productions and wider activities run smoothly. This might include “front of house"" welcoming audiences & selling programmes, supporting events, assisting with rehearsals and admin tasks, or donating your specialist skills.
Youth Theatre
At BLT opportunities aren’t limited by age!
Our youth productions bring together young performers and creative teams in a supportive environment, with opportunities to experience the excitement of working towards a live performance.
Alongside our dedicated youth productions, we also stage all-age productions, bringing performers of different generations together to share the stage and learn from one another.
