Brecon Little Theatre

Brecon Little Theatre is a community theatre charity based in Brecon, Wales. Since 1930, we’ve brought people together through the shared experience of making, performing and enjoying theatre.

We believe the performing arts should be accessible to everyone — whether you’re stepping onto a stage for the first time, developing your creative skills, supporting from behind the scenes or simply enjoying a great night at the theatre.

We bring together people of different ages, backgrounds and levels of experience to create ambitious, exciting productions and make live theatre available to our local community at affordable prices.

Community theatre is about so much more than what happens on stage. It’s about bringing people together, discovering new skills, building confidence, forming friendships and creating a sense of belonging on stage, behind the scenes, and in the audience.

Our Team

BLT is powered by the time, talent and commitment of our members and volunteers. From performers and musicians to directors, technicians, costume teams, chaperones and front-of-house helpers, every contribution helps bring our productions to life.

We’re also fortunate to draw on professional experience across theatre, television and live performance.
That expertise helps us think big, share skills and create opportunities for others to grow.

Behind the scenes, our trustees help guide the charity, protect its purpose and plan for its future.

It takes a team to make theatre happen — and there’s room for more people to be part of ours.

Our Impact

The value of community theatre goes far beyond the final curtain.

At BLT, we create opportunities for people to build confidence,
learn practical and creative skills, make friendships and work towards something they can be proud of. Our productions bring people together across generations and give local talent a platform to shine.

We also believe audiences deserve access to exciting live theatre close to home.
By keeping our ticket prices as affordable as we can, we aim to make the experience available to more people across Brecon and the surrounding area.
